Data protection in personnel consulting

Für LAB & Company ist Datenschutz mehr als nur eine Standard-Erklärung am Ende der Website.

For LAB & Company, privacy is more than just a standard statement at the end of the website. We are convinced that mutual trust is at the heart of successful personnel consulting. In the digital age, this naturally also includes consistent IT security and comprehensive data protection as a basis for trustful and rule-compliant cooperation with customers and candidates.

GDPR-compliant personnel consulting

With the General Data Protection Regulation of the European Union (EU GDPR) entering into force in May 2018, this position was first legally consolidated in European law. We welcome this development and take the security of clients’ and candidates’ data very seriously. Therefore, our business processes are designed in such a way that as little personal data as possible is collected or processed. We ensure that all data collected and stored is secure. In this way, we guarantee that the requirements of the EU-GDPR for the handling of personal data are fully implemented.
In the following questions and answers, we provide information about the EU-GDPR and explain what information we collect while cooperating within the framework of search mandates and which parts of this information may be used in what way.

What is the EU General Data Protection Regulation?

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR) is a regulation of the European Union. The aim of the EU-GDPR is to standardise the regulations for the processing of personal data by private companies and public authorities throughout the EU. This should 1) ensure the protection of personal data within the EU and 2) ensure the free movement of data within the EU internal market. The EU-GDPR entered into force on 25 May 2018, replacing Directive 95/46/EC of 1995 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free flow of such data.

These include, among other things: name, address, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, employer, position title, data on your background, evaluations (e.g. in the context of certificates). We collect this data directly from you in the context of telephone or personal discussions, written exchange or through documents that you provide to us (e.g. curriculum vitae, training certificates, job references, etc.)

What does LAB use your data for?

We use the data collected about you exclusively in the context of our business activities, i.e. essentially for the purpose of implementing a personnel consulting project for filling specialist and management positions, but also for management audits and business coaching, etc. The data will not be passed on to third parties. These are competence projects based on the practice groups (specialisations) of LAB & Company.

Your data will only be passed on to LAB clients for the purpose of your further participation in the selection process in consultation with you. Your data will only be passed on to third parties in the exceptions prescribed by law.

Where does LAB store your data?

Your data is always stored securely in an EU data centre, regardless of whether you work with LAB on one or more recruitment consulting projects. Our IT infrastructure and all stored company data are managed by LAB & Company Management GmbH (joint subsidiary), which grants the other companies of LAB & Company full access and usage rights to your data.

What are your rights?
