LAB experiencing upwards growth with Health Care Practice

Hamburg/Düsseldorf/München, 1th of January 2004 – Lachner Aden Beyer & Company, the international personnel consultancy firm, was also able in 2003 to successfully consolidate upon its growth rate. As already reported, Fritz Grupe was taken on as a partner and director of Health Care for LAB & Company during the last year. For over 17 years, Grupe has been known as one of the most high-profile consultants within the Executive Search sector, specializing in the search and selection of top managers. “In particular, university clinics, hospitals, health centres as well as health insurance funds and companies, even pharmaceutical and biotech companies have an ever-increasing need for consulting advice in the area of personnel management. The main reasons for replacements in management positions are re-structurings, process optimization and the strategic re-alignment of the medical capabilities. The DRG-implementation and the exhaustion of synergies for ambulant as well as in-patient medical services are further essential success indicators for the future organizational trend”, declares Grupe. Developments within the health and social services field will be characterized by a high-level of change dynamics with serious requirements for alignment to the new legal provisions. Moreover, the further increasing demand from older members of the population, a direct result of demographic aspects, will give rise to a differentiation and change in the supply options. Grupe expects to see that over the next years, the Health Care branch will become involved in, on the one hand, a conflict area of cost and organizational optimizations and a strategic re-alignment of service offerings, on the other. In his opinion, the future business challenge facing the Health Care area will be the successful management of internal processes in congruence with the demand-oriented service offerings. In order to succeed here, management will have to implement convincing business, organizational and marketing concepts.
